Environmental Regulation & Construction Management

RegulationsWeaving your way through today's maze of environmental regulations is tough enough for even the most knowledgeable. Bethany Swine Health Services strives to stay abreast of the newest regulations that affect agriculture.

We maintain Certified Livestock Managers at each of our sites, as well as a certified Technical Service Provider (TSP) on staff. Bethany Swine Health Services is able to update and manage the manure management plans for all of our managed facilities in-house. In addition, we can provide assistance to producers with their own plans that will meet requirements of the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS). We can also assist in filing reports and paperwork for each of these agencies.

Constructing a swine facility in Illinois may seem like a daunting task, but the staff at Bethany Swine Health Services has extensive experience with the Livestock Management Facilities Act (LMFA) that governs the permitting of a new or expanded livestock facility. Bethany Swine Health Services has permitted over 20 swine facilities in recent years, and managed over $15 million worth of construction. We can assist producers with Notice of Intent to Construct (NOITC) paperwork, selecting a builder, and with overseeing construction from start to finish. We maintain a record of past buildings and are continually perfecting building design for maximum production and profitability.
